Palmdale High School Boys Golf Host the 44th Annual Lynn McClung Memorial

On Monday 4/15/2024, Palmdale High School boys golf continued a long standing tradition by hosting the 44th Annual Lynn McClung Memorial Golf Tournament.

This tournament was started by Coach McClung and was originally called the Palmdale Invitational. When Coach McClung retired, it was named the Lynn McClung Golf Tournament. When Coach McClung passed a few years ago, it was renamed the Lynn McClung Memorial.

This year we hosted 22 teams of 5 players, totaling 110 golfers! As well as 26 coaches at Crystalaire Country Club. It was truly a beautiful site to see on such a beautiful day!

Hesperia High School took 1st place for Team Gross with a score of 387, followed by Valencia who shot 391 for 2nd place and Chaminade who shot 406 for 3rd place.

Individual Gross winners were:

  • 2nd place (3-way tie) – Nathaniel Carlson from ACE who shot a 75, Brady Fonville from Apple Valley who shot a 75 and Noah Scavo from Chaminade who also shot a 75.
  • 5th place (3-way tie) – Andrew Ponce from Valencia who shot a 76, Andrew Gahshan from Glendora who shot a 76 and Brody Earnest from Apple Valley who also shot a 76.
