AVUHSD STEM EXPO 2025
The Antelope Valley Union High School District successfully hosted its STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Expo last Saturday, featuring outstanding student projects from across the district. Top-performing students who placed first, second, or third in their school-level competitions qualified to showcase their displays, experiments, and inventions at this district-wide event.
A panel of guest judges evaluated student projects using a standardized 0-3 point rubric, assessing the creativity, scientific approach, and technical skills demonstrated in each submission.
According to Erica Rough, Director of Industry Liaison & Post-Secondary Partnership, “Events like the STEM Expo are important because they highlight the creativity, problem-solving capabilities, and talents of students, bringing pride to our schools and community. It is also a great way to engage our community, showcasing the impressive talents of students and fostering local pride! They create crucial connections between schools and industries, establishing a real network for future STEM professionals.”
The event successfully brought together students, educators, and industry representatives, creating valuable connections while celebrating student achievement in STEM fields. See the winners of this years STEM Expo below!
