Congratulations to Senior Matthew Adeleke on earning a $50,000 Scholarship from Southern California Edison.
Matthew Adeleke has been a part of the Palmdale High School Engineering Academy as well as the AVID program since his freshman year 2021. Over those four years, Matthew has been a stand out student taking 10 advanced placement (AP) classes, 9 honors classes, and 2 dual enrollment college classes.
Matthew has routinely taken on additional classes, both 0 and 7th period, during his time as a student here at PHS, as well as summer school classes to make sure he has room in his schedule to take the courses he wants. To date, Matthew has taken 39 classes and earned 330 credits, with another 55 expected this semester, bringing his total at graduation to 385 credits.Of the 490 seniors at Palmdale High School, Matthew is currently ranked third and has a GPA of 4.86. This again is further proof of just how hard Matthew has worked the last 4 years. His goals for the future are admirable, hoping to pursue a career in the engineering field as an Electrical Engineer. In his pursuit to achieve that career goal, Matthew has been accepted into multiple colleges, some offering him scholarships to try and persuade what will be a very successful future engineer. Congrats again Matthew.
