The black box theater at Eastside High had transformed for the fall concert. Colorful lights painted the intimate space in shifting hues while the projection screen behind the stage displayed stunning backdrop footage that changed with each performance. Parents, students, and teachers filled the folding chairs arranged close to the small stage, creating an atmosphere unlike any traditional auditorium setting.
The, Lance Azusada, the choir director watched from the back as students prepared to share their carefully chosen pieces. Each performer would showcase a different genre, turning the evening into a journey through musical styles.
Each student brought their own world to the stage that night. The intimacy of the black box meant that every emotion, every note, every moment was experienced up close. Rock, R&B, ballads, musical theater, classical flute, and rock band performances all enhanced by the ever-changing lights and backdrop footage.
