GALLERY: HELPER Foundation Celebrates AVUHSD Student Role Models During I-CAn Ceremony

Student leaders from two of our AVUHSD sites were celebrated for their completion of the HELPER Foundation program during the I-CAN Ceremony this morning at Lancaster High School! These students were recognized for their ability to overcome challenges with resiliency, believe in themselves, and create a positive change in their community. HELPER Foundation Youth Ambassadors from both Lancaster and Eastside High School addressed friends, families, and supporters to speak on the impact the program has had on their personal and academic success. Participating students were then presented with certificates of achievement for their dedication in the program throughout the school year.

Thank you to the HELPER Program Executive Director Stan Muhammad, Deputy Superintendent Shandelyn Williams, Principals Zach Mercier and Blake Stanford, and former Superintendent Dr. David Vierra for their remarks in support of our students and their achievements. As we near the end of the school year, we are proud to celebrate our students for the great strides and accomplishments they have reached!
