On May 9, 2025, the AVUHSD Multilingual and Migrant Education Department proudly celebrated the graduation of over 100 remarkable students! This heartwarming event was filled with inspiring student performances, motivational speeches, and the awarding of well-deserved scholarships—each moment reflecting our students’ resilience, perseverance, and triumphs.

Our Distinguished Student Speaker, Sarita Erazo Esteban from Lancaster High School, captivated the audience with her story. Having moved to the Antelope Valley from Mexico just a few years ago, Sarita is an active member of the Migrant Education Program and has excelled in Speech and Debate, even competing at the state level. She now sets her sights on college, where she plans to study law and communications. Sarita, we are incredibly proud of you!

The celebration also honored six exceptional students with scholarships to support their educational journeys. Disciplina Positiva, the Multilingual Department, and Ulyses Rea Sanchez of Promethean Engineering generously awarded scholarships ranging from $350 to $500. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our community partners and dedicated staff for making these opportunities possible.

The evening concluded with a vibrant performance by Palmdale High School’s Mariachi band, led by Ms. Thameenah Alam, whose beautiful renditions added a joyful finale to a truly memorable night.

We are beyond proud of each and every one of our graduates and can’t wait to see the amazing things they will accomplish. Congratulations to the Class of 2025! It has been an honor to witness your growth, strength, and achievements.

El 9 de mayo de 2025, ¡el Departamento de Educación Multilingüe y Migrante de AVUHSD celebró con orgullo la graduación de más de 100 estudiantes destacados! Este emotivo evento estuvo lleno de presentaciones estudiantiles inspiradoras, discursos motivadores y la entrega de becas bien merecidas—cada momento reflejó la resiliencia, perseverancia y logros de nuestros estudiantes.

Nuestra Oradora Estudiantil Distinguida, Sarita Erazo Esteban de Lancaster High School, conmovió al público con su historia. Habiéndose mudado al Valle del Antílope desde México hace apenas unos años, Sarita es una miembro activa del Programa de Educación para Migrantes y ha destacado en Oratoria y Debate, llegando incluso a competir a nivel estatal. Ahora se prepara para asistir a la universidad, donde planea estudiar derecho y comunicación. ¡Sarita, estamos increíblemente orgullosos de ti!

La celebración también reconoció a seis estudiantes excepcionales con becas para apoyar sus trayectorias educativas. Disciplina Positiva, el Departamento Multilingüe, y Ulyses Rea Sánchez de Promethean Engineering otorgaron generosamente becas que iban desde $350 a $500. Agradecemos de corazón a nuestros socios comunitarios y al personal dedicado que hicieron posibles estas oportunidades.
